I love the experience of being with another person in a space of created trust, commitment, and vision. It constantly amazes me what we can generate when people sit together, speak, and listen with authenticity, wisdom and candour. I love creating and being in service of the human condition.
My pathways have taken me across continents and careers, none by design.
My story is repeatedly one of jumping into the deep end and coming up with synchronised swimming.
Throughout my life I’ve known that you can do anything you put your mind to. And that with honest, hard work and by continuously looking up with bright eyes you can engage with the world in meaningful ways and achieve big results (thanks Mum).
My early years were 'colourful'
I experienced divorce through a child’s eyes, a new blended family, living a diplomat family’s lifestyle with lots of travel. These presented adventures and extraordinary exposure to the university of life and also saw me witness events that I’d rather forget. I’m so grateful, however, for all those experiences because they shaped me into a resourceful, strong, grounded woman. These attributes have supported me well during a divorce of my own, chronic pain from a debilitating disease, starting and building a successful business in a competitive market, and being a late-age parent with a blended family of my own.
Today, I work to awaken the best in people and organisations.
I help people to help themselves by advising, mentoring and coaching them to make change happen exceptionally well, and make it stick. I’ve been in the change and transformation game my whole working career, supporting teams, leaders and organisations to accelerate change mindsets, approaches and outcomes.
Nothing makes me happier than empowering people to become the owners and architects of their own transformations. Helping them see the brilliance they have, even when they can’t see it themselves. Each one of us has infinite resources available to us, within us, waiting to be accessed so we can be truly remarkable.I help my clients by simultaneously holding their hand and kicking their backsides – balancing big, forward thinking with realistic and practical approaches for getting things done. I’ve witnessed repeatedly how powerful coaching is and believe it to be one of the most effective tools available to help develop leaders deeply and sustainably.
- An overactive and relentless work ethic ingrained in me since childhood and an action bias as part of my DNA – both tough patterns to eliminate, so I keep trying!
- Remembering people’s name – I wish I had this super power.
What I really love is:
- Being in nature. Travel and exploring new places.
- Little luxuries like my Ugg boots, electric blankets, coffee with the girls, time to read.
- Thriving as part of an awesome team.
- The deep wisdom that children and old people have to offer.
- Generosity, integrity, humility.
COMMUNITY CHARITY
I support several charities and regularly offer ProBono services.
Here’s a link to SHREE KURLUNG BARAHA PRIMARY SCHOOL in Nepal that desperately needs support – they need basic educational equipment and funds to fix up their school building from earthquake damage last year. Their dream is to have one computer for the school.
I’ll be trekking in Nepal in October 2018 and will be visiting the remote area of this school to drop supplies and give back to this community. If you’d like to support with a donation, please contact me directly.
